Still in use today on the streets and sidewalks of New Orleans, the Crescent Water Meter Box was customized for the New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board in 1921 by Edwin Ford, with his now famous design of a crescent moon surrounded by 9 stars. The Crescent Box cover has been the standard meter cover for the Big Easy for over 90 years.

Materials: metal, clear sealant
Display: Custom hangers are welded on the back so it stands off the wall a 1/2" inch.
This piece is copper plated and aged to create deep antique patina. All my art has multiple coats of clear gloss.
